North Wales Muslims Condemn the Attack on Soldier in Woolwich
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
The North Wales Muslim Council strongly and unreservedly condemns the murderous attack on the soldier Lee Rigby in Woolwich, London on the 22nd of May 2013. In the eyes of all decent human beings including Muslims, we can see no justification to this murder and any association of such a cowardly act to Islam is baseless and disgraceful.
Islam teaches us to live in peace with our neighbours and fellow man honouring our duties and responsibilities and justly conduct ourselves. We Muslims from all backgrounds live and wish to continue to live in peace and harmony with our fellow citizens in the UK.
We urge the utmost vigilance from our brothers and sisters and trust that the police authorities will protect our community from any misguided reaction to this vile act. We also call on all communities, Muslim and non-Muslim, to come together in solidarity to ensure that the forces of hatred do not prevail.
